Prototype Pictures from Site visit to Chatfield March 2015
Notes: The team was having some trouble with the orange gasket in the 1st picture with some of it being leaky. They are going to use the mold in the picture below to create their own gasket ou of GE caulk (silicone) , on their material list.
They are looking to move forward with two of the four chambers being hydrogen producing and the other two being lipid producing.
The unit will spin for 30 seconds twice per hour with the gears.
They were planning on using a copper sheet with the battery pack to make a better connection with their batteries.
They plan to test their lighting with the NESI board LEDs as well as the temporary LEDs to make sure the camera on the NESI is working well with the pictures
They will perform a FAME analysis of the lipid producing Algae upon return at a -20 deg C.
They would like to make an abs model of the space station as their trinket item.
